I have owned more than 5 different STUDFINDERS, some costing more than triple the price of this one and this one beats all of the competition by far. It's idiot proof (or novice-proof) if you prefer. It even worked on my ceiling. And my studs are notoriously difficult to locate. Finally! Bravo. Easy. Inexpensive. Effective. Yaay!

Fantastic product. I had experimented with 3 other stud finders, 2 electronic ones and another magnetic one. None worked as well and as simply as the studpop. The magnet is very strong, and it’s the easiest most reliable way to find a stud. Would recommend 100%.

This works really well even with my plaster walls. No need to spend a lot of money on a fancy product when this works just as well!

I bought this with a great deal of skepticism but it actually works great. First stud finder that I have used that actually finds the studs behind my 1950s plaster walls. No more drilling multiple holes.

This works!! I bought 2 and then gave them to the electrician that came to the house. My electrician hadn’t seen these and was amazed! Then I bought 2 more. They stick on the drywall screws and there is not guessing where the stud is. I put one above the other and I have a straight line down the stud.

Worked on plaster walls in our 1950's home. The walls are plaster boards with a 3/8" finish coat of plaster. So far it's more reliable than our standard stud finder.

Takes the guess work and drudgery out of locating studs. It works amazingly well.

It's pretty unique. And for being so small the magnet is powerful enough to read studs behind plaster and wood lath. Well worth the money compared to electronic stud finders.

With every stud detector I've ever used, the mechanism relies on subtle differences in the dielectric constant. They require batteries and they're almost universally uncertain. This little device is dead simple, requires no batteries, and produces certain results.

Now this is a no brainer! Easy to use and works great for such a small thing, great for everyday use as a carpenter. Best thing is no battery needed like most larger digital stud finders. Well made and looks like it will last a long time.

I'm very impressed with this stud finder. I've had expensive devices that can't find the stud in plaster walls like this one. In this case simpler is better! Works !

Brilliant little thing. Works as advertised, don’t know what else to say. So simple and yet so effective. In my opinion it’s much better and more compact than some of those fancy stud finders.

I must admit I was a skeptic, BIGTIME! Heck, I cut the darn thing free of the card it was shipped on and put it down on the vanity top and the next thing I hear is a CLICK! and it's stuck to one of the metal fasteners used to attach the laminate vanity top to the vanity cabinet. I had to give the Studpop a good tug to break it free. I started to laugh and turned to the ceramic tiled wall behind me and just made a small random swipe around the tile and BINGO! a direct hit. That magnet is strong. So I got to playing with it like a kid at Christmas with a new toy. To be really honest I tried it all over the house before I got down to the work I purchased it for. I now have a perfectly anchored grab bar centered on the studs behind the ceramic tile in the shower stall. While playing around with it and testing it out I noticed that it does slowly POP upright when you are getting near the metal fastener in the stud. Buy it and you'll find out for yourself! I showed it to my nephew and he got a big smile on his face and said "I'm giving this as a gift for my groomsmen. They are going to love it!" The groomsmen are all in the home remodeling business. Ladies, you got to have one for the junk drawer because every time you have a heavy picture or mirror to hang you will now easily find a stud to put the nail into and the picture won't fall off the wall. Everybody out there buy one Now! You'll find a job to use it for in no time at all.

This thing has multiple uses. I like to use it as a fridge magnet when not in use finding studs.

Tried a few different stud finders. One brand boasted about working on plaster that cost close to $100. None worked. This little thing worked perfect through plaster. I definitely recommend this for anyone looking to work with plaster.

I cant believe it. We live in a 1919 old house with plaster and lathe walls. It has always been a struggle to find the studs. None of the electronic stud finders work. Saw this on Amazon and thought I would take a chance at that price. This thing is SOOOOO simple and easy to use. As soon as I got it out of the package I was finding studs all over my home. It's awesome, buy it.

I usually don’t write reviews but I wanted to on this. I saw Kruger Construction use this on Instagram and thought it was cool so I purchased it. This thing works better than any other stud finder I have ever had. It is so basic and the visual is so clear I love it. Used it the first day to install a hand rail.

Absolutely love this thing! Seriously. I don’t know if I’ll ever use an electronic stud finder again. My kids moved into a 1800's place in SF, and I needed to hang shelves and LED TV’s on the lathe & plaster walls. Modern tech stud sensors and thermal are useless in this stuff. This magnetic finder was 100% accurate for every single hole. I would find a solid ‘click’, then lay my 4’ level vertical next to the Studpop. Using the level as a straightedge, just run the Studpop up and down to confirm you have a line of nails. Then mark and drill. Buying more.

THIS magic magnet popper is such a stupid-simple tool that is life-changing on plaster. The magnet simply pops when going over internal screws. Follow that pop up the wall to locate other screws and confirm you are, in fact, on a stud.

This is easily the best stud finder tool I've used. Super easy to use and understand. This one will live in my toolbox forever

I own a home built in 1920. It has been a constant struggle to redecorate and remodel when you cant find studs through plaster and lath walls. This simple product has LITERALLY CHANGED MY LIFE. It is SO simple I am borderline angry I have lived without it so long. Just move it horizontally along your walls and it will catch so easily on the nail heads in your lath and studs. No more drilling every 1/2 inch to find my improperly spaced wall studs. I can't give this item enough stars. Do yourself a favor and purchase one.

Must have for professional carpenters. I do remodel and cabinetry work and my colleagues are always surprised at how I can always find the studs and strapping on the first try.

I have three or four electronic stud finders and this thing beats them all by a wide margin.
