and just about everyone will agree that, despite the fact that there are a gazillion to choose from\u2026<\/p>

not one of them have been able to figure out a good way to find a stud.<\/p>

Whenever we tell people that we invented a new kind of stud finder, the first words out of their mouth are:<\/p>

“Why should yours be any better than the other crap that\u2019s out there?”<\/em><\/h4><\/blockquote>

And that about sums up how people feel about stud finders. None of them work\u2026or at least none of them work very well.<\/p>

People all over the world are fed up with stud finders in general.<\/p>

“Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door.”<\/em><\/h4><\/blockquote>

Ask anybody if they know what a stud finder is and you\u2019ll find that most will say \u201cYes\u201d. Then ask if they have ever used one that they were happy with. Most will either say, \u201cNo\u201d or just shake their head and shrug their shoulders.<\/p>

When people need to locate a stud they just go to the store and ask for a “stud finder\u201d and leave with whatever is on the shelf because they don\u2019t know one brand from another since most of them look alike.\u00a0 Well almost<\/em> all of them.<\/span><\/p>

Even though all of the fancy electronic stud finders make big claims, have you noticed that for some reason none of them ever seem to give you the same exact location twice in a row? Frustrating much?<\/em>  You can’t help but feel that you’re just going to be drilling a hole into thin air.<\/p>\n

“So you cross your fingers and hope that it got it right”.<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And there’s no way to know for sure until you drill the hole\u2026 but by then it\u2019s too late to find out that you missed the stud by \u201cthis much\u201d!<\/p>\n

I know people say that magnets aren’t stud finders<\/span>.  Well here’s a news bulletin for them…<\/p>\n

…is that despite all the hype about their fancy “edge finding” and “deep scan” modes,  they don’t have any clue as to what a stud is.  They’re just looking for density changes and you have to hope that it’s a stud.  If you want an actual stud finder<\/u> then you’ll need something that can see through walls.  Kind of overkill if you ask me.<\/p>\n

…because they are uniquely qualified to find real<\/strong> <\/em>metal fasteners holding your walls to actual<\/strong> <\/em>studs.  You can think of these nails or screws like arrows that are pointing right at the center of the studs!<\/p>\n

The only things that magnets care about is the screws and nails that are holding the wallboard to studs.<\/em><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Magnets aren’t attracted to pipes, duct work or thin air.  <\/em><\/p>\n
