Heck, I cut the darn thing free of the card it was shipped on and put it down on the vanity top and the next thing I hear is a CLICK! and it's stuck to one of the metal fasteners used to attach the laminate vanity top to the vanity cabinet. I had to give the Studpop a good tug to break it free. I started to laugh and turned to the ceramic tiled wall behind me and just made a small random swipe around the tile and BINGO! a direct hit. That magnet is strong. So I got to playing with it like a kid at Christmas with a new toy. To be really honest I tried it all over the house before I got down to the work I purchased it for. I now have a perfectly anchored grab bar centered on the studs behind the ceramic tile in the shower stall. While playing around with it and testing it out I noticed that it does slowly POP upright when you are getting near the metal fastener in the stud. Buy it and you'll find out for yourself! I showed it to my nephew and he got a big smile on his face and said \"I'm giving this as a gift for my groomsmen. They are going to love it!\" The groomsmen are all in the home remodeling business. Ladies, you got to have one for the junk drawer because every time you have a heavy picture or mirror to hang you will now easily find a stud to put the nail into and the picture won't fall off the wall.
